Inaugural 'DenAI Summit' coming to the Mile High City on September 19
In just over a month the City of Denver, the Colorado Technology Association, and other groups will sponsor the country's first city-led AI conference.
Named the 'DenAI Summit,' the one-day conference on September 19 will focus on the theme of using AI for good, which it defines as helping to solve "hard social problems." The specific emphasis of the event will be the affordability crisis in housing that's been a growing problem in the Denver metro area, as well as across the country.
Keynote speakers will include Reid Hoffman, co-founder of LinkedIn, and Phaedra Ellis-Lampkins, CEO of Promise. Hoffman will discuss the transformative potential of AI for good, including how artificial intelligence can be harnessed to address some of the most pressing challenges faced by governments today. Ellis-Lampkins will discuss her journey in building a billion-dollar AI-driven business serving governments by enhancing public services and reducing systemic inequities through artificial intelligence.
Panel discussions will include such topics as "Colorado and the AI Frontier: Innovations Shaping Our Future," "AI in Education: Transforming Cities Through Better Learning Outcomes," "AI for Sustainability: Innovating for a Greener Future," and "Making Everyday More Affordable for Our Residents with AI."
The Summit will also feature selected AI startups focused on using AI for good. As the Summit's website provides, "There will be a preference for companies with an AI product innovation that may be utilized or tailored to solve the housing & affordability crisis in cities."
Perhaps most exciting for entrepreneurs is that the 12-15 selected firms will have the opportunity to make a 4-5 minute presentation to an audience comprised of local and national leaders of cities, as well as executives, investors, and community members. There will a preference for pre-seed and Series A companies. The application deadline is August 26.
Registration to attend the DenAI Summit is $299. Don't miss out.
